이상 작가의 '날개' 독후감 (Book report : lee sang, wing)

오늘은 제가 책을 하나 소개해드리려고 하는데요!

 

제가 소개할 책은 바로 이상 작가의 ‘날개’라는 책입니다.

 

이 책은 ‘이상’이 쓴 단편소설로, 타임 기획 출판사의 한국 단편 99선에서 여러 가지 단편소설을 접하다가 ‘날개’라는 제목이 마음에 와닿아서 읽게 되었습니다.

 

이 책은 아내의 사육을 받으며 아무런 의욕 없이 생활하는 ‘나’ 와 매음을 하여 남편을 마음대로 사육하는 ‘아내’가 등장인물로 나오는데요..

 

‘나’가 아내가 주는 수면제를 먹고 잠을 자는 사이에, 아내는 몸을 팔아서 돈을 벌게 되는데, 어느 날, 나는 우연히 아내의 현장을 목격하게 되었고, 정신없이 돌아다니다가 건물 옥상에 있는 자신을 발견하게 됩니다.

 

이때, 주인공인 나는 날개야 다시 돌아라. 날자, 날자, 날자 한 번만 더 날자구나, 한 번만 더 날아보자꾸나라고 하면서 글이 마무리가 됩니다.

 

처음 읽었을 때 드는 느낌은 이게 뭐지?라는 느낌이었는데요!!

 

이해하기 어렵겠지만, 날개는 욕망의 탄생을 의미하고, 현실세계에서 다시 섞여 걸어가는 새로운 탄생의 순간을 상징한다고 합니다.

 

이 작품은 식민지 시대 지식인이 자기 소모적이고 해체적인 삶을 통한 사회 현실의 문제를 심리적으로 투영시킨 문학작품으로 그 의미를 지닌다고 하네요...

 

제가 이 책을 읽으면서 단순히 아내가 옳지 않았다. 남편이 한심하였다.라는 생각도 들었지만, 그 당시 사회 현실의 문제를 파악하고, 자기 소모적인 삶의 문제에 대해서도 생각해 볼 수 있었습니다.
